OUR INSPIRATION

Suikerbos designs come from a love of creating and a deep fascination of South African botany. We are heavily influenced by our surroundings, and having travelled with suikerbos quite a bit, there are many landscape stories captured in our ranges, from the flat lands of the free state, to the rumble tumble of of Jo’burg and finally our new sea home here in Simons Town. 

We like to look closely to find the tiny patterns and repetitions hidden on leaf edges,  the complex mark makings on succulents, the wavy ripples on shell surfaces, and we try to capture these beautiful shapes and elegant lines in our Suikerbos designs.
