The Story of Katryn – Growing up on a small farm in the Roggeveldberge of the Karoo, Katryn had always been drawn to the landscape’s unique biome, dominated by aloe and unfolding a well-preserved ecosystem of diverse flora. As a young girl, she would collect flowers, twigs and leaves to savour their earthy scents. Katryn would later begin to blend her collected flora with natural, fragrant oils and use them to nourish her skin and remedy the blemishes from a bright Karoo sun. Soon friends, family and people from the community all began to ask: “Wat is Katryn se geheim?”

Katryn’s love for the fragrant, healing properties of flora from the Karoo and the greater South African landscape, as well as those from other continents, served as inspiration behind the development of a distinct range of bottled botany called Katryn se Geheim. By combining carefully selected ingredients from Nature’s garden with pure botanical oils, the collection of natural perfumery was perfected into the now much sought-after ‘WONDEROLIE’. These ‘wonder oils’ promote the health and healing of skin, while evoking the aromas of wild nature to lift the mood.
